Whether you choose to wear it for fashion or to conceal thinning or damaged hair, a wig is a popular, easy way to change your look.

A Wig is made from two different types of materials:

Synthetic Wigs – Are not as soft

Not as silky once washed

Can matte

Cheaper than human hair wigs

Less versatile i.e., cannot use a curling iron on a synthetic wig because the synthetic hair will melt.

Do not expose to any heat products at any time including blow dryers and hot water.

Synthetic wigs look less natural and sometimes can frizz up in areas of friction like the collar line.

Human Hair Wigs – Looks most natural and is much softer

Has more versatility

Can use a curling iron and blow dryer on the hair

More expensive due to it’s higher quality.

Wig Fittings:

Most wigs are easily suited for various head sizes. However, for those with female pattern baldness, alopecia, cancer or other medical hair loss condition, it’s much better to have the wig specifically fitted for a proper and comfortable placement.

For those with these health concerns, it’s best to purchase a wig most suited to your hair type and texture. This ensures a more natural look and makes it less obvious that you’re wearing a wig.

Then there are those that love to flaunt various hair textures, wig styles and colors. These individuals are usually very open about wearing wigs and don’t care who knows it.

Wearing wigs are about attitude. If you just want a change and want to wear various styles of wigs of various colors, go for it! Wigs are a beautiful way to change your look.
