dinner time and it's still good :)

dinner time and it's still good :)

I have coarse 3b type hair.

Products used:

  • Africa's Best Organics Hair Mayonnaise

  • Lustrasilk Shea Butter & Cholesterol Plus

  • Africa's Best Herbal Hair Oil with Ginseng

  • Africa's Best Braid Sheen with Conditioner

  • Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion

  • Regimen:

    * 2-3x a week I deep treat my hair with the hair mayonnaise by working it through my towel-dried hair and then putting a shower cap over it for about 15 minutes. The protein helps repair damage and strengthen my hair.

    * For regular hair washing I use the Lustrasilk conditioner either daily or semi-daily.

    * After washing, I work a few drops of hair oil through my hair (seals in moisture) then follow up with a few pumps of foaming wrap lotion (protects my hair and adds hold).

Next I put my ionic hair dryer on low and scrunch my hair, so I get a good tight curl as I blow dry it upwards to add volume. When my hair is close to being dry, I switch my hair dryer to cool shot to finish drying it so I won't over dry it with heat.

    * Next I mist a little braid sheen on my hair, which helps restore moisture, add shine, and softens up the foaming wrap lotion in my hair a little.

    * I use my fingers to shape my hair the way I want it and to smooth the top layer of my hair. I also might gently "fluff" it a little.

    * The next day I can just mist my hair with water, touch up with wrap lotion if necessary, and go. No hair drying and no major styling necessary. This maintains for up to three days.

The initial styling takes about 15 minutes. Maintenance styling takes about a maximum of 5 minutes.
