Create a Long Style with an Extension Hair Weave

Ever consider an extension hair weave! You don’t have to wait years to have the length you want for your hair!

There is a way to have the style you want in a matter of hours. An extension hair weave is a popular method for getting long hair styles quickly. A variety of styles can be done with a weave, including braids, dreads or just long hair. The price you will pay for your style depends on the type of hair and how it is done.

Two types of hair are used in weaves:

  • Synthetic and Human hair...
  • Most women prefer extensions made with human hair. These look and feel more natural than synthetic weaves. This type of hair is more versatile and some heat can be used for styling. Human hair is more expensive, but many women find the look worth the added cost. Synthetic hair is more affordable. Some women don’t like the look of synthetic. Another problem is that heat can’t be used. The heat will cause the synthetic hair to melt.

There are a few methods of application for extension weaves:

  • A braided weave lasts about two months. Your hair is first braided along the scalp. The extensions are then sewn tightly into the braid.
  • A fusion weave involves using wax to fuse the weave to your own hair. This procedure lasts about three months.
  • Bonding involves gluing the hair to the scalp. This type of weave lasts only about a month. It is the least expensive method.
  • Once the extension weave is finished, proper care is needed to keep your hair looking great. You will need to clean and moisturize your hair regularly to keep it in good condition.

Use a gentle touch when cleaning your hair to keep the weave in good shape. As your hair grows, the weave will get loose. You will need to go back about every six weeks to have the weave tightened.
