CURLY HAIR EXPERT

I am the curly hair expert. I not only do curly hair but I have curly hair too!

Sometimes I wear it curly sometimes I wear it straight. The key to successful styling is in the cut! As you know cutting curly hair just isn’t something for someone who doesn’t have experience. It takes a special touch to tame curly tresses in order to get their full potential. I cringe every time I hear "thin it out".

Curls are tricky and granted they can be quite dense sometimes, I find that being conservative in a haircut will allow me not only to get to know someone’s curl pattern but to define their styling ability as well.

The biggest problem with Arizona and curly hair is there isn’t enough humidity in the air to actually do something with your curls, hair therefore it is lacking moisture. Well over half of my clientele has curly hair and every haircut and every style is different. Some let theirs go ala natural, others diffuse, a few get chemical strengtheners to better control their curl (not to go straight) while several round brush.

About the only common ground for my curly haired girls is a demi-permanent glaze over the top of their natural hair or as a finish to their hair color. I use a non-peroxide non-ammonia product that is basically like a conditioner with hair color in it, (there is a clear formula for the color shy). It fills in the hair to better tame your tresses. The Glaze I use helps restore that moisture and coats the hair to help cut back on frizz.

I can also help you chose the correct products for your specific type of hair that way you use what you buy instead of storing it under your cabinet. And last but not least I know how to cut curly hair because I have it myself and I realize the many challenges curly girls face.

So turn your curls over to a higher power and embrace them.
